Chris Melville grew up listening to the music of Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Miles Davis and Ella Fitzgerald. With his warm, velvet vocal delivery he sings classic songs from an era of style and sophistication, an ideal soundtrack for weddings and corporate events.
With decades of performance experience at weddings, corporate functions, shows and cocktail parties, Chris has played for a stellar client list worldwide. He can perform as a feature singer or as background music, and is highly versatile. He has a variety of setlists from background jazz and smooth sophisticated songs to deep house, rock`n`roll and upbeat dance music.
Currently performing every Saturday night at SkyCity Auckland, Chris explores the funkier side of familiar songs with his jazz/funk combo.
